Thesan has made a comfortable life for herself as the Astronomy professor at Schola, Albion’s leading magical school. In the autumn of 1924, she’s ready for her classes, a coming solar eclipse, and the demands of the school year.
Isembard has been rebuilding his life in the aftermath of the Great War. Charged with teaching protective magic and training two particular students, he’s always felt second-best in his family.
It’s never as simple as teaching. The year is full of new teachers (with their own agendas), a group of students who are definitely up to something, a musical revue, expectations, and several mysteries.
Matters simply get more complicated when Isembard asks Thesan to a series of extravagant parties over the solstice to gather more information.
Third in the Mysterious Charm series, it can be read in any order, and is a great introduction to Celia Lake’s world of Albion.
